SACRIFICE FOR THE CAUSE OF ALLAH

It is not the blood and meat that reaches Allah. It's your piety and changes of your heart.

Eid al-Adha meaning:

‘Festival of the Sacrifice’. It is celebrated to mark the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (May Allah bless him) to follow Allah’s command.

History:

According to Islam Allah (God) commanded Ibrahim -May Allah bless him  to sacrifice his son. Ibrahim - May Allah bless him proceeded and took his son to Mount Moriah to sacrifice him.

As Ibrahim-May Allah bless him was about to sacrifice his son an Angel appeared and stopped him. Angel then replaced Ibrahim’s son with a Lamb.

To honor this Holy event Muslims around the world sacrifices a Goat, Lamb or other animal.

This Sacrifice is called “Qurbani”. This is why Eid al-Adha is also called ‘īd-ul-azhā – the Feast of goat Or “Bakra Eid”. The sacrificed animal is divided in three parts.

First part is shared among poor people, People keep Second part for themselves and the third part of sacrifice is given to the relatives.
